BCOS is a performing musical society with a difference: we rehearse and present works from both the choral and staged musical/operetta disciplines, performing a major choral work and a staged musical production at opposite ends of the year. Alongside these major productions, where time permits, we also present either a summer or Christmas concert.

We've just completed the fantastic stage show, The Addams Family, to full houses. We move straight on to our summer concert Twist & Shout, but with half an eye on next year's show - Avenue Q!

As with so many groups it's been a challenging couple of years. Covid put pay to our 2020 plans, but we were delighted to have been able to bring you THREE events in 2021.  The Mikado, and Thank You for The Music both were resounding successes and couldn't have happened with out the assistance of the team at Bicester Heritage.  These were followed by, the sell-out A Night At The Opera which saw us back in our 'home' venue of St Edburg's Church.  Unfortunately Christmas was cancelled again but, we did get together and enjoy our singing in the run up to the cancelled event.

2022 saw us present Little Shop of Horrors (if you missed it you missed an amazing show!), our October concert, Vivaldi Magnificat & Gloria., and our festive concert, Sleigh Bells Ring!,  finally went ahead on 17th December having sold out in just 5 hours!

Our concerts are normally presented in St Edburg's Church and the staged production in The Cooper School, Bicester. We meet on Wednesday nights in St Mary’s School, Queen’s Avenue, Bicester, from 7:30pm-9:30pm for choral concerts and 7:30pm-10.00pm for staged works. Whether you sing, act, paint, sew, or build scenery, you will be most welcome as a member!
