BCOS

Bicester Choral & Operatic Society

BCOS is a performing musical society with a difference: we rehearse and present works from both the choral and operatic disciplines, usually performing a major choral work in the spring and a staged musical production in the late autumn, both with orchestra.

This year we ring the changes, rearranging our events timetable by moving our stage show to the spring time, with our next show, Iolanthe, being performed in the spring of 2015.

This means that, whilst there won’t be a fully-staged show this year will present two choral concerts, Verdi's Requiem in April and Handel’s Messiah in December.
We are always on the lookout for new directors for our stage shows so if you've ever fancied seeing your vision come to life on stage, get in touch with us!

Our concerts are normally presented in one of the main Bicester churches and the staged productions in The Cooper School, Bicester.

We meet on Wednesday nights in St Mary’s School, Queen’s Avenue, Bicester,
from 7:30-9:30pm.  Whether you sing, act, paint, sew, or build scenery, you will be most welcome as a member!
