Bicester Choral & Operatic Society

BCOS is a performing musical society with a difference: we rehearse and present works from both the choral and staged musical/operetta disciplines, historically performing a choral work in the spring and a staged musical production in the late autumn.  2015 saw us ring the changes, rearranging our events timetable by moving our stage show to the spring time, which was very well received.

2016 has seen us present a sell out production of  Carmen The Musical (if you missed it you missed a fantastic show!), followed by a magical evening celebrating the music of James Bond; everyone, including the audience, made a fantastic effort on the dress code of 'dress to impress'.  We have just one more event this year; the beautiful Peroglesi Stabat Mater and Jenkins' Armed Man Choral Suite, supported by the Akeman Chamber Orchestra. If you wan to join us check out the members page for more details.

Our concerts are normally presented in St Edburg's Church and the staged production in The Cooper School, Bicester.

We meet on Wednesday nights in St Mary’s School, Queen’s Avenue, Bicester,
from 7:30pm-9:30pm for choral concerts and 7:30pm-10.00pm for staged works.

Whether you sing, act, paint, sew, or build scenery, you will be most welcome as a member!
