For Evita we are making a change. There will be no cast attendance requirement on the Bank holiday Monday of show week. The Tech rehearsal will take place on the Tuesday evening, with the dress on Wednesday and then the shows , as before, on Thurs, Fri, Sat. Cast commitment for show week remains five evenings but is now five consecutive evenings

The story concentrates on the life of Argentine political leader Eva Perón, the second wife of Argentine president Juan Perón. The story follows Evita's early life, rise to power, charity work, and eventual death.
The musical began as a rock opera concept album released in 1976. Its success led to productions in London's West End in 1978, winning the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Musical, and on Broadway a year later, where it was the first British musical to receive the Tony Award for Best Musical.
Subs for the 20 weeks are £80 (just £4 per week).
These should be paid in full by 31st Jan or in 2 stages £40 by 31st Jan and the balance by Weds 17th April. Students in full time education - £20
Did you know? Typically our staged productions have costs of around £11,000 to present. This year's show, Evita, is anticipated to have production costs in the region of over £12,000. To help us ensure we can cover these costs we undertake a number of initiatives:-
Event Sponsor-Bicester Village are official event sponsor. Their logo is on posters, tickets & programmes
Adverts - We need adverts for the programme. This years programme is 'landscape' in shape. Costs & advert sizes:
Full page A5 Landscape (210mm w x 148mm High) : £80
Half page A6 portrait – (105mm Wide x 148mm high) : £50
Quarter page landscape (105mm x 74mm) : £30
Orchestra Sponsorship: In 2016, for the first time, we offered individuals the chance to sponsor the orchestra for our staged production, Carmen, and we were delighted that so many people stepped forward and supported us. We did the same for Pinafore & Chess & were delighted with the success, so we're doing it again!! Could you sponsor a player?
This year we have 9 instruments. We're looking for sponsorship of each player, plus the conductor!
- so that's 10 opportunities, listed on the left hand side.
In return for a minimum donation of £80 sponsors will get:-
While the first few weeks will focus on music rather than 'production', music rehearsals will be staggered throughout the entire rehearsal run. As a consequence, and like our choral performances, you should aim to attend a minimum of 75% of the rehearsals to participate in the show, along with some mandatory dates.
an NA form as soon as possible, not later than 24th December, in order that a rehearsal schedule can be drawn up
around everyone's availability.
NB:The NA form also gathers questions about your measurements for costumes so please complete it even if you can make all the rehearsals. The NA form is your 'commitment' to the production. Please try to avoid making any changes after submission.
Click the button at the top of this paragraph to access the form.
COSTUME CALL: This year we will be holding our initial costume call on the afternoon of Sunday 17th March. You need to ensure you are available for this. We will allocate people a slot between 2pm & 5pm. If you know now that you can't make this date please call it out on the NA form.
Unlike our choral performances, by exception and at the discretion of the director(s), you may be able to miss additional rehearsals, but this may mean you are unable to participate in certain scenes.
These will be on Weds 7.30pm-10pm and potentially a few Thursdays, (this could be for chorus and/or principals).
These are will be held on the evening of Wednesday 12th December. These are for principal roles only. There is no formal audition for chorus/company. If you are new to the society we will ask you to undertake a voice trial to check you're in the right section. (Very occasionally, by exception and at the Musical Director's discretion, we reserve the right to ask someone not to sing/perform)
Principal auditions will be held on this day only. Decisions will be made based on the auditions on that day.
