New Members

The Society extends a warm welcome to all new members, and like many choirs, we are always short of men. So men, come and join us! And ladies, why not bring or send your husbands, sons, brothers and neighbours along! Rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings in St Mary's School, off Queen's Avenue (near the Sports Centre), between 7:30 and 9:30.

We accept new members three times a year, early in the rehearsal schedule for each event. If you would like to join please contact our membership secretary either by email or by phone on 01295 709122, for details.

New and returning members wishing to take part in performances as singing members will be required to take a simple singing test. Singing tests in 2010 will be held at the end of the rehearsal on 5 May 2010 for aspiring members wishing to sing in the Summer Concert on 5 June 2010 and at the end of the rehearsal on 23 June 2010 for those wishing to take part in Calamity Jane in November. Aspiring members are welcome to attend rehearsals on a trial basis for two weeks prior to those dates.

The dates for singing tests in 2011 will be announced later, but the first one will be in mid-January. New members are welcome to attend rehearsals from mid-November until then on a trial basis.

If you don`t want to perform, but would like to be involved in our shows in other ways, we welcome helpers to paint, hammer, stitch, or help with make-up, hairstyling, lighting or back-stage.
